Beck Technology, leading software and service firm for the commercial design and construction industry, announced that Winter Construction has chosen DESTINI® Estimator as its new enterprise-wide preconstruction platform.
Founded in 1962, Atlanta-based Winter Construction has since established itself as an innovative leader within the construction industry, providing construction management, general contracting, LEED-certified construction, Design-Build, and environmental services. Winter has completed significant projects in a variety of different markets, including Government, Adaptive Reuse, Mixed-Use, Multi-family, Retail, Hospitality, Senior Living, Office, Higher Education, and K-12 markets. Winter’s teams include some of the best talent and people in the industry, providing clients with a good experience from preconstruction through closeout.
The multi-year enterprise agreement will enable the company to utilize DESTINI Estimator in all of its preconstruction efforts.
“Winter’s preconstruction professionals are client-focused and guide the internal and external clients involved in a project through all aspects of the preconstruction process and design development. This requires a multi-disciplined skill set, with the ability to communicate the plethora of information generated during preconstruction while ensuring that it supports the client’s goals and priorities. Implementing Destini Estimator as our new estimating platform was an easy choice since it fully supports our approach to preconstruction by:
· Enhancing our efficiency and leaning our processes to provide continuous cost feedback.
· Capturing and organizing our cost history from the diverse markets we serve.
· Supporting the efficient, integrated utilization of 2D and model-based estimating.
· Facilitating our ability to creatively communicate our estimate information exactly how our clients want to see it.
Although we are early in our implementation, working with Beck Tech has helped us to further refine our estimating processes and workflows, moving us even closer to a more efficient, consistent approach to estimating,” says Ray Miller, Winter Construction’s Vice President of Preconstruction.
