Headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, Marriott International, Inc. is the world’s largest hotel chain. With its continually increasing portfolio of properties, Marriott International, Inc. sought a new estimating platform to support its in-house estimating needs. After evaluating several solutions, the hotel chain was introduced to Beck Technology by one of its cost consulting firms, who is also a customer of Beck Technology.
After several months of discussions, a proof of concept, and a detailed implementation planning meeting, the Marriott team made the decision to move forward with DESTINI Estimator. The multi-year enterprise agreement enables all estimators at Marriott to utilize the DESTINI Estimator platform.
“I talked to Beck Technology’s existing customers and they couldn’t stop saying enough good things about the DESTINI software and the team,” said Mike Pozdol, Vice President of Estimating for Marriott International, Inc. “Since going through the process of exploring DESTINI Estimator I have witnessed firsthand why companies are fans of the Beck Technology team and their products. Not only will Estimator be a huge benefit to Marriott’s construction processes but I look forward to working with Beck Technology to enhance estimating technology for the industry.”
“It has been great working with Mike and the team at Marriott during the due diligence phase of their search for a new estimating platform,” said Stewart Carroll, President of Beck Technology. “It was particularly helpful being able to do a proof of concept to ensure that Estimator solved Marriott’s estimating needs. It’s always very rewarding when a customer tells us we have solved one of their business challenges, but it’s even more rewarding when one of our customers refers us to another company who in turn becomes a customer. The alignment we have with our customers is important as it encourages collaboration and improvement. I am excited to add Marriott to our growing customer base and be side-by-side with them as they deploy DESTINI Estimator.”
