Brent Pilgrim, DESTINI Applications Director for The Beck Group, gives us an update on where his firm is in the implementation and training process for DESTINI Estimator. In his previous webinar presented in April 2017 – which was about three months into their transition – Brent went over the initial strategy they chose to take. In this update webinar, we learn what worked well, what roadblocks they hit, and where they are now.
Brent reviews their initial plan of attack for training, deployment, database development, and communication. He then shares with us in each of these categories what actually occurred vs the plan. This is valuable information for others who may be considering a change from Timberline or MC2. Brent’s approach shows how important it is to work with an implementation plan, but to also be able to shift and change as needed along the way to ensure everyone has a full working knowledge of the product.
Each team member brings a different set of skills and experiences to the table. Pilgrim was joined by four of his colleagues from several of The Beck Group’s regional offices that underwent the training and implementation process. These preconstruction professionals all had various expertise in Timberline, MC2, and OST. They candidly share with us their expectations for DESTINI Estimator including their thoughts on the length of training time, the difficulty learning a new software, roadblocks that were hit, and also their greatest success to date in using the platform.
