SindusCon 2012

In October a team from The Beck Group attended the SindusCon 2012 conference in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  SindusCon is a construction industry forum focused on the education and promotion of BIM in the Brazilian construction industry.  Currently the Sao Paulo, Brazil construction industry is expanding rapidly with many discovering BIM and its uses.  Over 450 people attended the all-day conference comprised of general contractors, architects, government employees and other BIM users.

Beck Technology was a main sponsor of the event and presented at the conference as well.  Twelve presenters in all from cast stone prefabricators to the Brazilian Army to software companies taught attendees the importance of BIM and how it can be utilized.

Presenting for Beck Technology, Jason Mayes spoke on BIM in the Field.  While focusing on a case study on the THR Alliance project in Ft. Worth, Texas where the team utilized total robotic stations, clash detection, Revit in the field and prefabrication.  Jason also discussed how DProfiler can help eliminate many problems before they arrive in the field.  The Beck Group also had a booth at the conference in the conference hall.  Displaying DProfiler in Portuguese, Ricardo Machado with Beck do Brazil showed conference goers the advantages of DProfiler and cost based modeling.
